A national leader in bioinformatics and precision medicine. Unique interdisciplinary training experience in human population genetics （PhD and MS）， computer science （MS）， biomathematics （MS）， genetics （MS）， and bioinformatics （Post-doc）; More than 20 years of experience in genomics， systems biology， molecular epidemiology， and complex disease studies; Recent interest in translational bioinformatics and precision medicine; More than 275 publications; PI of more than 20 grants; Participation in numerous center or program grants; More than 10 years of teaching experience in bioinformatics and systems biology; Multiple years of service in functional genomics shared resource and other bioinformatics cores; Abundant administrative experience in medical center; Abundant experience in next-generation sequencing data analysis and translational science. His lab is the first at Vanderbilt that was able to analyze the whole genome sequencing data.
