J. Craig Venter， a biologist renowned for his contributions in sequencing the first draft human genome in 2001， is co-founder， chairman， and chief executive officer of Human Longevity Inc. He is also founder， executive chairman and chief executive officer of the J. Craig Venter Institute and co-founder， chairman， and co-chief scientist chairman of Synthetic Genomics Inc. Venter is a recipient of the 2008 National Medal of Science， member of the National Academy of Sciences.
