Mr. Xu， Managing Director of H&Q Asia Pacific Shanghai， is responsible for deal sourcing and portfolio company investments in China. Prior to joining H&QAP， Mr. Xu worked for several merchant banks in the Greater China region since 1983. Such positions included being the Corporate Finance Director & Head of China for HSBC Investment Bank， Vice President for JP Morgan， and Manager for Standard Chartered Asia. Before 1983 Mr. Xu was with KPMG Peat Marwick in London and the National Audit Office of the PRC.
Mr. Xu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. He is currently a full member of the Hong Kong Institute of Securities. Mr. Xu is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
