Mr. Chu is a senior principal of The CID Group located in Silicon Valley. He has both Asia Venture and US Venture experiences， mutual fund and venture capital experiences as well.
Prior to joining The CID Group， Mr. Chu was with Hotung Capital Management and CDIB for venture capital business for over 11 years. His investments included Arima （Taiwan IPO， merged by Flextronic）， Elan Microelectronics（Taiwan IPO）， Integrated Circuit Solution（ICSI， Taiwan IPO）， Yosun Industrial（Taiwan IPO）， Resonext（sold to RFMD）， Cicada（sold to Vitesse）， Zettacom（sold to IDT）， Airespace（sold to Cisco）， PolyFuel（London AIM）， AATI （Nasdaq）， Berkana （sold to Qualcomm）， Infinera （Nasdaq）， and others. Prior to his venture capital career， he was IT industry analyst in the best mutual fund company in Taiwan， FGIT （Yuanta Group）， in charge of all listed IT companies in Taiwan， including IC design， testing， packaging， foundry， IDM， PC， NB， MB， SW， PCB， datacom and telecom， PC peripheral， PC component， etc.He was also one of the three voting members of Internet investment committee in CDIB.
Darren Chu received his BSEE from National Chiao Tung University （NCCU）， and MBA from the National Chengchi University.
