Dr. Du received his bachelor degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He holds three U.S. patents.
Dr. Du serves as vice president of corporate operations. Since the company’s inception， he has charted the course for all operational tasks， including oversight of the company’s manufacturing operations strategy and global materials operations infrastructure， as well as information technology systems and ERP project implementation.
Prior to AMEC， Dr. Du was general manager of Mettler-Toledo Instrument （Shanghai） Co. He was also general manager of Praxair-Baosteel Inc.， a joint venture between Praxair and Baosteel. While there， he held a variety of engineering and management positions in multiple areas， including general management， business development， supply chain management， project/program management and technology licensing in multinational companies. Dr. Du received the prestigious Magnolia Silver Award in 1998 by Shanghai Municipal Government for his contributions to Shanghai city development.
