Alexandra Gardiner

Alexandra Gardiner is Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer.

Prior to joining EMAlternatives， Alex served for more than three years as Vice President of Finance for Rock Creek Group in Washington， DC， which handles US$3.5 billion of hedge fund of fund portfolios. Alex managed the accounting， reporting and finance functions for over 15 legal entities， worked closely with external legal counsel to stay abreast of， and resolve， key compliance issues， and coordinated closely with third party administrators to ensure accurate and timely reporting to clients of monthly returns and year-end audited information. Alex’s responsibilities for Rock Creek Group included the coordination with members of the team to merge existing funds， ensure the timely investment of funds， and navigating successful routine audits by the SEC and with external auditors.

From 1995 to 1997， Alex served as Assistant Vice President of Credit Suisse First Boston’s Financial Audit Group， and from 1997 to 2003， she was Vice President， Assistant Controller of their Private Equity Division. During her time with Credit Suisse First Boston， Alex managed the accounting， reporting and finance functions for over 43 legal entities， most of which were offshore entities. She issued quarterly and annual financial statements for 14 limited partnerships engaged in private equity activity. Alex supervised management reporting， budgeting， expense analysis and other special projects.

From 1991 to 1995 Alex worked with Price Waterhouse LLP， first as a Staff Accountant in Baltimore， MD and later as a Senior Accountant of the Investment Management Services Group in Curacao， Netherlands Antilles. As a Senior Accountant she planned， performed and supervised financial statement audits， reviews and compilations for major financial service companies. In addition， she planned and supervised audits of off-shore investment companies， including closed-end funds， commodity pools， hedge funds， limited partnerships and funds with multiple
