Charles Smith is responsible for the Private Equity business within the Asset Management division of Deutsche Bank.Charles led the formation of RREEF Private Equity in January 2007 through the raising of the $775 million DB Secondary Opportunities Fund and is responsible for the management of that fund as well as the further development of the Private Equity business within RREEF.
Prior to moving to his current role， Charles spent 11 years in the European Mergers and Acquisitions Group in Global Corporate Finance and he was s a director of MGPE， the chairman of MGPE Italy.
Charles graduated with an MA in Natural Sciences and Management Studies from Cambridge University. Charles is also a Chartered Management Accountant having trained in the Management Consulting Division of Coopers and Lybrand.
