Ewen W J Tyler

Ewen Tyler completed his degree in Geology at the University of Western Australia in 1949 and was involved in exploration and mining in Africa during the 1950s. In the following decade， he worked in mining finance and exploration in London and on returning to Australia in 1969 initiated exploration which led to the discovery of the Argyle Diamond Mine.

Ewen was a founding director of Ashton Mining Limited and remained an executive director until his retirement in 1990. He is Non Executive Chairman of Lion Selection Group Limited and North Australian Diamonds Limited.
