Rod Kent is a Governor of Wellcome Trust. He was Chairman of BT Pension Scheme Trustees Limited from 2008 to 2011， Senior Independent Director at Whitbread PLC from 2002 to 2008 and Chairman of Bradford & Bingley plc from 2003 to 2008.
