Tang Kok-Yew

Tang Kok-Yew is Chairman of Affinity Equity Partners.

Mr. Tang joined UBS Capital as Chairman， Asia Pacific in 1999 before co-founding Affinity Equity Partners in 2002. Mr Tang has been involved in private equity since 1989. Prior to UBS Capital， he became the Chief Executive for Investment Banking， East Asia at Union Bank of Switzerland in 1995. In that role， he also had oversight responsibility for the bank’s private equity activities. Following the merger of Union Bank of Switzerland and Swiss Bank Corporation to form UBS， Mr. Tang became Chief Executive， Hong Kong， of UBS Group and Asia Regional Head of Corporate Finance for UBS Warburg.

Prior to Union Bank of Switzerland， he served as President and CEO of Banque Indosuez’s Asian investment bank and Chairman of WI Carr （Far East） Limited， one of the leading stockbroking firms in Asia. Mr. Tang began his financial career with Chase Manhattan Bank. During his 17 years at Chase， his duties included Country Wholesale Banking Manager （Malaysia）. Later assignments were in regional investment banking in Hong Kong.

Mr. Tang holds a Bachelor of Economics （Accounting） Degree with First Class Honours from the University of Malaya.
