Sean Flynn

Sean Flynn is a Principal of Shasta Ventures. He has a decade of experience working with high-growth， consumer-Internet companies. Sean joined Shasta after working at Yahoo， most recently as a senior director of business development and business operations where he focused on growing the company’s communication and community products such as Yahoo Mail， Messenger， Groups and Flickr. Before that， Sean launched Yahoo’s premium voice services as a product manager on the Yahoo Messenger team. Prior to Yahoo， Sean was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley， where he advised technology， telecom and media companies on equity financings and merger-and-acquisition opportunities in both New York and Singapore. Sean holds a BA in economics from Brown University. His current areas of focus include online commerce， consumer web applications， digital media， mobile， and online education.

I'm continually amazed by the creativity and ingenuity of the entreprenuers I meet. Their passion and drive is the lifeblood of the early-stage technology start-up ecosystem. Helping them achieve their dreams is an honor for me. My aim is to become their trusted advisor； not to run the company， but rather to provide a thoughtful and balanced perspective for all of the important decisions they face in building their company.
