Om Malik

Om Malik is the founder of GigaOM and a venture partner at True Ventures. A technology journalist by heart and by trade， Om began his career as a Senior Editor at Forbes.com. He had a brief stint at H&Q Asia Pacific as an investment manager before returning to the media world as a Senior Writer for the iconic Red Herring magazine and later at Business 2.0. In 2003， he published his first book Broadbandits: Inside the $750 billion Telecom Heist. He founded GigaOM in 2006.

Born and raised in New Delhi， he is now happily situated in Northern California. He holds a degree from St. Stephen’s College in New Delhi. When he is not talking technology or forecasting the next big industry trends， you can find him posting about the latest in music and all things hip on his personal blog.
