Ryutaro Aida - Senior Advisor （Tokyo） of NewQuest.

Roy joined NewQuest at its inception in 2011 and presently oversees investment and limited partner activity in Japan for NewQuest. Roy has over 15 years’ experience in private equity and prior to joining NewQuest was Japan Investment Director for Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s （BAML） Asia Private Equity Group managing the bank’s private equity portfolio. Prior to BAML， he spent eight years with MKS Partners （formerly Schroder Ventures KK） in Tokyo， making and managing private equity investments in Japan. He has also worked in finance roles previously for UBS， KPMG， and Morgan Stanley and as a management consultant with Japan Management Systems all based in Tokyo.

Roy has an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management in Cambridge， MA， an LLM from Columbia University Law School， NY and an undergraduate degree in law from Waseda University， Tokyo. He is also an attorney with the State of NY， USA. Roy is fluent in English and Japanese.
