Alex Liang is currently a Principal at SAIF， with primary interests in internet， mobile internet， media and technology investment. Prior to joining SAIF in March 2011， Mr. Liang was Founder and CEO of PICA， one of the earliest mobile internet companies in China. Before that， Mr. Liang was Vice President at Asia Netcom heading strategies for its pan-Asia data network services. He also served as Vice President at 21vianet， China’s leading Internet Data Center company， on product， marketing and operation. Earlier in his career， Mr. Liang worked as Product Director at iBasis， and Engineering Manager at Amnet.
Mr. Liang has a Master’s Degree in Computer Networking from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. He also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Communications from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
