Anmin Zheng

Dr. Zheng built and managed E-TEK’s critical coating group from a small team to a staff of 200. While he was Director and Senior Manager， this group generated $100 million in annual sales for E-TEK which led to an IPO in December， 1998. He led E-TEK’s coating division through the second largest merger in US history when JDS Uniphase acquired E-TEK for $18.5 billion in June， 2000. Dr. Zheng invented and commercialized many automated， energetic coating methods and processes from the UV to IR including the first WDM/DWDM 100 & 200 GHz filters for telecom’s C Band. These products were made to the highest standards， standards that evolved to accommodate the new world of optical networking. Dr. Zheng was a technical reviewer for OSA’s Applied Optics， has significant research experience with three of the top optical coating labs， and has published a number of scientific papers. He alsospearheaded many space projects for NASA and the European Space Agency. Dr. Zheng received his MS & PhD in Photo-Electronics from Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics （SITP）.
