Liang Zhou

Dr. Zhou was Senior Manager JDSU/E-TEK’s overall engineering operations that were responsible for over $200 million in annual sales. His responsibilities managing the Optical Amplification Business Unit and the Optical Amplifier Components Business Unit encompassed all passive WDM optical network component manufacturing. These were the company’s main revenue generators such as multiplexers， gain flattening filters， interleavers， wavelength lockers， circulators， splitters/combiners， etc. During the extreme growth JDSU/E-TEK experienced， Dr. Zhou ramped up production and managed final testing/packaging with a 98% on-time-delivery and increased efficiencies. Dr. Zhou was instrumental in designing， developing， and implementing hardware for Optical Monitoring Systems for real time coating process monitoring and controlling. He managed and executed electronic hardware designs， tests， and troubleshooting for many major company ventures including Bi-directional EDFA （Project for Fujitsu）， Compact EDFA （Project for Tyco）， and Auto-OADM module （Project for Cisco）. Dr. Zhou has a PhD in Optics from the Institute of Physics， University of Erlangen-Nuremberg， Erlangen and has published many scientific papers. Dr. Zhou is now the Vice President of Engineering， Co-Founder of Foreal Global Ltd..
