Mr. Meier has been the Chief Executive Officer of PI Financial Corp. since 1983. Born， raised and educated in Switzerland， he graduated from the KV Zürich Business School in 1965.
After working five years as an accountant in Geneva and a banker in Zürich， he immigrated to Canada in 1970. A 10-year career with CIBC， both in Montreal and Vancouver， preceded his move to the securities industry in 1980.
He is also a former Director of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada， the Canadian Securities Institute， The Vancouver International Financial Centre， the Swiss Canadian Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Ski Association. He was a Governor of the Vancouver Stock Exchange for 10 years， the last four of which he held the position of Vice Chairman. In that capacity Mr. Meier also served as a Governor of the Canadian Investor Protection Fund.
