Jane Rowe

Jane Rowe， as Senior Vice-President of Teachers' Private Capital， is responsible for strategic portfolio growth and deal stewardship. She is leading the global fund and Asian private equity investments on an interim basis. Her strong background in credit and equity investing was developed during a more than 20-year career at the Scotiabank Group of companies where she held a number of senior roles.

Prior to joining Teachers’ in October 2010， she was Executive Vice-President， Special Accounts Management and Retail Credit Risk. Previously， she held senior roles at Scotia Merchant Capital Corporation， the bank's Canadian private equity fund， was President and CEO of RoyNat Capital Inc， Scotiabank's wholly owned mid-market merchant bank， and was President and CEO of Scotia Mortgage Corporation.

Jane received an MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business， a B.Comm （Hons） from Memorial University， and also has ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors. She is a Director of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment， an Independent Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Sierra Wireless Corporation， an Advisory Board Member of Memorial University’s School of Business， and an International Advisory Board Member of York University’s Schulich School of Business， as well as a member of the board of the YWCA of Toronto.
