Ian Carew

Ian Carew is a Director of Northleaf Capital Partners Ltd. He participates in all aspects of Northleaf’s investment activities， including the origination， evaluation and monitoring of primary and secondary Fund Investments and Direct Co-Investments. He is primarily responsible for the investment sourcing and manager research relating to Northleaf’s Asia and Emerging Markets investments and is actively involved in Northleaf's venture capital and growth investments in the United States and Canada. Mr. Carew serves on the advisory boards of several partnerships within Northleaf's portfolio.

Prior to joining Northleaf's predecessor， TD Capital Private Equity Investors， in 2008， Mr. Carew worked at CalPERS， helping manage a $40 billion private equity program， where he was responsible for the global venture capital and Asia private equity strategies and served on the Infrastructure Advisory Committee involved in the approval of an approximately $3 billion initial infrastructure allocation. Previously， Mr. Carew was a Partner with KIMC， a boutique private equity advisory firm and spent six years in the venture capital group at Ontario Teachers Pension Plan executing a fund and co-investment strategy. Mr. Carew's prior experience includes various financial and accounting roles.

Mr. Carew received a Bachelor of Commerce and Graduate Diploma in Accountancy from Concordia University and holds the Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst designations.
