Walid Kamhawi is a Managing Director in the Corporate Private Equity group based in Hong Kong. Since joining the Private Equity group in 2000， Mr. Kamhawi has focused on European media and communications-related and other industrial investments. At the end of 2007， Mr.Kamhawi relocated to the Hong Kong office. Mr. Kamhawi has worked on investments that have included: the acquisition of SULO AG， Cleanaway， TeleDanmark A/S， the investment in Deutsche Telekom， the recapitalization of Kabel BW， the acquisition of New Skies， the acquisition of CineUK/UCG and various investments in distressed debt securities （including Primacom， NRW and others）. Mr.Kamhawi serves as a Director of SULO.
Mr. Kamhawi initially joined Blackstone’s Corporate Advisory Services group in 1996 and worked on numerous transactions for many of the firm’s advisory clients.
Prior to joining Blackstone， Mr. Kamhawi was an analyst with Bear Stearn’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group.
Mr. Kamhawi received a BA in Computer Science and Economics from Dartmouth College.
