Mr. Smith holds a Masters in Taxation from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Metropolitan State College. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Public Accountant. At present he is the Managing Director and CFO of Emerald Hill. Prior to joining Emerald Hill， he was Managing Director of private equity for the University of Pennsylvania endowment where he was responsible for developing and implementing the global private equity investment strategy. He spent 8 years at Qwest Communications where he served most recently as Vice President of Alternative Investments for Qwest Asset Management Company.
