Gareth Tang

Prior joining Horizon Fuel Cell， Gareth was the Technology Manager in DSTA of Singapore （Defense Science & Technology Agency） in charge of alternative energy. He managed a R&D portfolio of over US$10M and was in charge of formulating the defense R&D master plan for Singapore’s Ministry of Defense. Before moving on to R&D management， he was a Senior Engineer responsible for the design， testing and evaluation of alternative energy technologies such as fuel cells， lithium-ion batteries， solar photovoltaic， hydrogen storage and generation technologies.

During his years of service in Singapore’s DSTA， he has pioneered the development of new energy solutions for portable， mobility， flight and building and infrastructure applications， and has also nurtured and led a team of engineers in this new area. Gareth obtained his BA （Hons） and MEng from Cambridge University， UK on scholarship.
