Charles R. Schwab has been Chairman and a director of The Charles Schwab Corporation since its incorporation in 1986. He also served as Chief Executive Officer from 1986 to 1997， and as Co-Chief Executive Officer from 1998 until 2004. He was re-appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2004 and served in that role until October 2008.
Mr. Schwab is also Chairman of Charles Schwab & Co.， Inc. and Charles Schwab Bank， and a trustee of The Charles Schwab Family of Funds， Schwab Investments， Schwab Capital Trust and Schwab Annuity Portfolios， all registered investment companies.
