Edward F. Glassmeyer is a Managing Partner of Oak Investment Partners which he co-founded with Stewart Greenfield in 1978. Ed focuses on growth equity investing in the Enterprise Software and Services area and is actively involved in Oak’s global initiatives in India and South Korea. He is currently on the Board of Directors of IT Service companies Collabera, EquaTerra (to KPMC) and Geotrace, and storage systems innovator, Xiotech (purchased from Seagate, where Ed was a founding director). He co-sponsored broadband networking companies GTS (Central Europe) and Zayo. On earlier stage companies, Ed is on the board of Movik Networks, whose products substantially reduce peak loads on carrier’s mobile networks. He is also a Director of interactive entertainment company, Major League Gaming. Prior to Oak, Ed started his career with Citicorp Venture Capital, and later became Managing Partner of The Sprout Group at DLJ (Donaldson, Lufkin, & Jenrette). Ed graduated from Princeton University, served as an officer in the Marine Corps, and received his MBA with distinction from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College, where he serves on the Board of Overseers. Ed was a founding Director of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA), and received their Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005.
