J. Albert Smith is a Senior Managing Director of The Blackstone Group， and a Founder of GSO Capital Partners. Before co-founding GSO， Mr. Smith was Global Head of the Capital Markets Group within the Alternative Capital Division of CSFB. The Capital Markets Group had $16 billion of assets under management including CSFB's credit opportunities fund， mezzanine investment fund， CDO business and hedge fund-of-fund business.
