S. C. Hong

S. C. Hong has a 20-year history of venture capital and private equity investment. He was the Founder and CEO of Hotung VC Group， and successfully brought the company to be listed in Singapore （SES H34） on 1997. He had managed or co-managed 37 funds with total equity of US$550 million. These funds were based not only in Taiwan， but also in eight other countries， including Japan， Hong Kong， Israel， the US and Singapore. These funds invested in over 370 companies， including many Taiwan’s corporate elites. He was former Chairman of Taiwan Tong-Yang Pharma， and served as senior executives of a cement and a textile company. Mr. Hong currently serves as board of directors of Benq （TSE2352） and Apacer （TSE8271）. Mr. Hong graduated from National Taiwan University with a degree in Economics. He is Vice Chairman and Principal of Saga-Unitek Ventures.
